DCP / Public engineering overview

The questions that establish value

Turn concepts into engineering checks: is the resource flexible, can the policy execute, are the results repeatable, and can the system be maintained?

01Define non-negotiable boundaries

Optimization must not bypass device protection, client permissions or critical business requirements.

Safety & local autonomy

Provide a validated safe operating plan for cloud outages. Authorized systems or personnel confirm critical actions.

Data & choice

Define ownership, use, retention and withdrawal. Verify open interfaces and replaceable modules through compatibility and migration tests.

Recovery & audit

Record policies, states and acknowledgments. Define cancellation, recovery and fault procedures to prevent queues and load rebounds.

02Four acceptance categories

Define denominators, sampling windows, baselines and exclusions. Dashboard or device counts do not replace outcomes.

Safety

Record limit violations, protection margins, fallback tests and availability, including maintenance windows and observation periods.

Economics & energy

Compare peak demand, energy, costs and renewable use at consistent workloads. Include depreciation, operations and migration overhead.

Service quality

Track completion, latency, migration success and agreed service levels. Energy savings must not conceal poorer service.

Operations

Check device availability, data completeness, incident closure, version maintenance and recovery exercises.

03Trust and repeatable delivery

Connect identity, policies and result records into a traceable chain of responsibility.

Devices & policies

Validate identity, firmware and configuration changes. Check command origin, validity and permissions. Specific controls require project security review.

Repeat the pilot

Test across operating cycles and retain exceptional cases. A single demonstration under ideal conditions does not establish ongoing performance.

Validate a second site

Reuse verified device templates, interfaces, acceptance records and procedures. Document differences and additional integration work.
